Today I went to collect Nala after she had finished her maternal duties with raising her 6 healthy Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppies. They are now 6 weeks old and have been weaned. The litter was over seen over and cared for by Jackie Ellis of Zejak Rhodesian Ridgebacks after my work commitments changed at the last minute.
It was lovely to see Nala after the 7 weeks apart and great to see her well fed chubby litter. Its always hard not to fall in love with each and every pup, even harder to walk away without taking one home with you!
Itwas quite apparent that Nala, who has been a great mother, had grown tired of the pups constant demands as was well & truely ready to come home. I grabbed a few photos of the little ones with their mother, and then a few of all of them crashed out in the heat of the day. I hope you like them and enjoy viewing them.
This will probably be Nala’s last litter as she has served her time and I have just had Maya – her daughter hip scored and hope to breed from her soon. This will be a really exciting event as she is so gorgeous in temprement and form.
